I bought this Fiat Panda 1.2 Pop in November 2022 for short term use. However, it was better than I expected, so I've used it regularly for over 16 months. Now on 99,650 miles this may go up slightly, it being a good standby car. HPI clear with MoT until 22/07/24, it is Euro 6 for emissions and only £35 VED (road tax) per year. Fuel consumption was 51 mpg over the last 6750 miles (trip computer B display). The bodywork is NOT mint (see photos), it's just a good city car, and OK at motorway speed too, albeit taking a while to get there with a mighty 68 bhp engine. 🙂 I find it roomy enough for a small car, I fit no problem at 188cm tall (6ft 2 in old money). There are no warning lamps, no oil or coolant leaks and it's never let me down, starting first time on even the coldest days.

I bought the car from the 1st, and 3rd owner. To explain: He travelled regularly between Newton Abbot in Devon and Cheltenham (where he bought it new in 2016, receipt held), and moved up to Cheltenham in 2019. In March 2022 he transferred it to his sister in Preston only to receive it back 3 months later, so of the 3 previous owners, 2 are the same.

The Pop model comes with ABS brakes, front electric windows (one shot on the driver's side), PAS with city option and central locking (although not remote, it's old school key in the door). There's a menu option to automatically lock the doors at 12 mph (20 kph) and the hill-start assist is a nice feature, preventing a roll backwards when pulling away. It also has a tyre pressure monitor system, detected by the ECU from individual wheel speeds, not using unreliable sensors. The front DRLs are always on with the engine running and the car has a bulb failure warning system. The 4 speaker radio / CD player has MP3 capability, and the original compressor and repair foam are in the boot alongside a proper jack. There's a couple of stains on the seats but no holes, rips or burn marks anywhere in the interior and the rear shelf is intact.

There are invoices for every service, and receipts for all parts and work done since new. Along with 9 stamps in the service history and every MoT certificate, the owner's manual and audio system passport are in the blue Fiat folder. Yokohama tyres are fitted all round (min. 6mm tread on them all), new Monroe dampers were fitted on the rear in 2022 and it even has Bosch wiper blades. A new cambelt and water pump were fitted at 76,844 miles in April 2021, so it's 3 years until the next recommended change. The last full service was at 91,894 miles in August 2022, but with this car's mileage I decided 9k miles was too long between oil changes. I therefore changed the engine oil & filter in December 2023 with correct 5W/40 fully synthetic oil, 1100 miles ago at 98,549 miles; the air & cabin filters and plugs were fine.

I discovered the front n/s damper was leaking fluid in June 2023, a month prior to the MoT in July, so I fitted new front dampers, along with new drop links; the springs & top mounts were in excellent condition so I re-used them. The MoT expires on 22/07/24 and I've driven the car 2000 miles since the last one. A new oil sump was fitted recently for safety's sake, it was heavily corroded (a common issue with these apparently) and I didn't want to risk catastrophic failure for myself or the next owner. The old sump had NO sludge in it and the new one has a 5 year warranty.

As the photos show, the rear driver's door isn't quite the right shade of "Rosso Red." It was like this when I bought it, the car is HPI clear so I presume that a small amount of damage was repaired here, there is no overspray on any of the trim. There is no corrosion or lacquer lift anywhere on the car, but the common issue of photographs of plain red cars with body coloured plastic bumpers occurs here; they have not been painted. Marked on the photos are the small ding on the rear n/s corner (with a few scratches under it), and a very small ding in the front n/s wheel arch. There are also some scratches on the rear bumper sill from loading in and out of the boot. The correct Fiat wheel trims are fitted and the plastic door mirror shell on the n/s also has some scuffs. There is a spare key, although it has what look bite marks on it! 🐶

I am in Stourbridge in the West Midlands and can collect the winning bidder from the nearby railway station if required.
