Jim Clark & Friends
BIOGRAPHY

JIM CLARK d1968. Scottish F1 driver widely regarded to be one of the greatest ever. Famously throughout his F1 career only driving for Lotus (1960-1968). Unquestionably the dominant driver of his generation entering 72GPs and scoring 33 Pole Positions with 25 Wins. Revered by all for his exceptional style and natural skill which made him a double World Champion in both 1963 and 1965. During a decade where danger and tragedy was a regular feature of the sport his craft was believed to make him almost immune. However he too was tragically killed (aged just 32) during a Formula 2 race in a Lotus 48 on 7th April 1968 at Hockenheim. It is thought that a slowly deflating rear tyre caused his car to veer off the circuit at high-speed into the trees surrounding the circuit........
