Antique Pair Solid Sterling Silver Victorian Pin Dishes Birmingham. They are an exact pattern match, however they are from different silversmiths and years. One is Joseph Gloster 1887 & the other is John Edward Wilmot 1897, both are Birmingham.

Beautiful repousse work creating scrolls and roses. Very delicate and intricate hand work.

The Joseph Gloster pin dish has its hallmarks in the base of the pin dish.

The John Edward Wilmot is Hallmarked to the underside of the base. There is a small dint, possibly in the making (when stamped). I have tried to catch this in my photos and highlight it. It is very minimal.

Both are in lovely condition with the exception of the dint. Some age related wear is to be expected in the form of some light surface scratches.

Measurements across the top:

7.3cm (2 & 7/8”) x 5.7cm (2 & 1/4”)

Weight: 23.54g

I have given them a quick wipe over, but as with all my items I don't over clean or polish, as some customers, especially prop buyers, prefer an original patina. So I leave the decision to polish to you. Due to age there may be the odd age related wear/mark.
