For over one hundred years the Morgan Silver Dollar has been the most collected vintage coin ever issued by The U.S. Mint. Many collectors have spent a lifetime trying to acquire a complete Morgan collection. And the most sought after of all the Morgan’s are those minted at the legendary Wild West mint in Carson City.

The Carson City Mint was established in the late eighteen hundreds because of the incredible amount of silver coming out of the Comstock Lode in the mountains of Nevada. It was determined to be more practical to build a mint in Carson City than to transport the silver to the mint in San Francisco.

Morgan Silver Dollars were produced in Carson City continuously from 1878 to 1885. Then in 1885 the mint shut down due to political reasons, a Republican President was replaced with a Democrat who closed the Mint for three years, 1886, 1887 and 1888. The Mint reopened in 1889 and Morgan mintage started again in the fall of that year. Production ran until the spring of 1893 when the mint was permanently closed.

After two terms as the US Mint Director, David Ryder could not fit this 16 coin set into the US Mint's busy production schedule. It took years of planning and searching for the right World mint to take on such a big project. David Ryder our two time former US Mint director had Fiji has created the most amazing Morgan set ever offered anywhere. This is a complete 16 coin Morgan set all in perfect MS70 and what makes it even more incredible we have produced coins for the missing years from 1886, 1887 and 1888!

The value here is amazing because the major grading services have graded over 7.6 million Morgan’s with only sixteen coins reaching MS69 and none in MS70! In fact if you could assemble a complete set of Carson City Morgan’s in the finest grade known it would be valued at over 2.5 Million Dollars!

There is a worldwide authorized mintage of just 2000 sets.
