Description:  This is a beautiful silk Japanese wedding kimono or uchikake (worn over a white ceremonial wedding kimono).  It has a profusion of beautiful flowers in red, white, gold and green on a black field.  The gold is fabric paint which is shiny and smooth to the touch.  The lovely interior is a brilliant red and pure white. The sleeves are long, and the long hem has a padded roll within. The seams are nicely matched.  See final two photographs.  Please take a look at all of the pictures and note the measurements indicated below. Pictures are as follows:  1 Front, 2 Back, 3-5 Front, 6 Open, 7-8 Matched Seams

Seller's Note:  Ordinarily I sell table linens and am unfamiliar with cultural meanings and requirements of selling an item such as this.  Thus I may not have anticipated your questions.  Please feel free to ask any questions that you might have.  I will be happy to add photos if you need more of them.

Condition:  Excellent condition.  I believe that one of our residents returned from a trip to Japan with this item.  I do not believe that it has ever been worn by a bride.  I find no holes, stains, or missed stitching.  It is clean and fresh.

Price:  $189.00
