Estimated to have been made during the early years of the last century, but these items are hard to date so could be earlier, this attractive brass or perhaps bronze footed comport has painted stylised floral and foliate decoration.
It is in good structural condition. It has not been recently polished and sports a rich patina. The painted decoration is rubbed in places but hard to assess as the patina covers some.
Displays well.
