1968 Press Photo Sacred Heart students paint Javelin for Houston Int Auto Show

This is an original press photo. It's a real happening at the Houston International Automobile Show in the Domed Stadium Exhibit Hall. Sponsored by the Harris County American Motors Dealers Association, a paint-in features college art students painting the Javelin the way they would like to see it. These three Sacred Heart Dominican College students, Libby Adams, Nan Haynes and Angela Geraci, left to right, opened the show. San Jacinto Junior College students will work on a second Javelin tonight. The paintings will be judged Friday. First prize is $100 for the winning school's art department and second is $50. The show, sponsored by The Chronicle and the Houston Automobile Dealers Association, runs through Sunday. Houston International Auto Show, Houston, Texas.Photo measures 8 x 10.25inches.
