De Havilland Aircraft of Canada and The Boeing Company will discuss the Canadian firm's DHC-7 quiet short-take-off-and-landing (STOL) airliner, shown in this artist's concept, with selected carriers to determine their interest. The 48-passenger, four-engine turboprop airliner, shown lifting off from a close-in airport, will be capable of extremely quiet operations from 2,000-foot runways.
