Hyosung V25 250R (Comet) 248cc Sport Bike motorcycle. In color Silver/Gray
This motorcycle was purchased a few months ago with plans to fix it up and ride it, but during this time I moved to a condo that does not allow mechanic work in the parking lot. I purchased it from the second owner, who had used it regularly before telling me that the starter broke in early 2023. This owner then placed the bike for sale, and I purchased it. I have purchased many components to get the bike back to riding condition- including a new rear wheel & good tire, oil filter, starter, starter relay, chain, and grab handle and other assorted components- all pictured and included.
Cosmetic condition is acceptable overall, with scuffs, some surface rust, scratches, and some evidence of being dropped (reported to me from still position) in the past. The rear tire does not hold air (but newer tire is included with the parts). The gas tank also is stuck shut. The prior seller reported to me that the electronics worked with a new battery (not included), and that the transmission and braking system worked well. The engine turns over appropriately and the transmission cleanly shifts through the 5 gears. Original Hyosung key and second copy key are included.

This motorcycle would be a great spring project prior to riding season and would make for a perfect first motorcycle, or low-weight fun bike, with the low displacement engine and light weight. Low step over height and classic sport-bike layout, without the intimidating high power output of a larger motorcycle. Being a Hyosung, you have better build quality than many Chinese motorcycles, with very low priced components readily available. Very similar quality to many Japanese sportbikes of the era (Kawasaki Ninja 250, Honda cbr 250r), but with much lower cost. After some repair, you can ride something different from other bikes on the road, while cranking 30HP, 21 ft/lbs of torque, and getting ~80mpg.
