This is the 1st
solo Captain Marvel comic after his successful debut in Marvel Super-Heroes #12
in Dec 1967. Marvel waited for the minimum three months to get the first
fan-feedback and it was SO positive that Stan Lee assembled writer Roy Thomas
and artists Gene Colan and Vince Colletta to get the book out as quickly as
possible.
Captain Marvel defends Cape Canaveral from the rampaging Kree Sentry, protecting the life of a security officer there called Carol Danvers…….who would become Ms Marvel and eventually Captain Marvel. And Captain Marvel 2 (or The Marvels) will be out in Nov 2023. Brie Larson will smash it once again!
