Guild S-300 Wal "Walnut"  6 string electric guitar. Date:

S/N 152903 = early 1977

This guitar plays so nicely. Great rock and funk tones with the quack-y coil tap option switch. It has a jumbo re-fret on it that, while the neck plays fast and is a honey, it doesn't cosmetically look fantastic - like the rest of the instrument.

Look closely at the ding-filled patina and cracks and such -- I wonder if Wayne Kramer chucked this up into the air at one point then ducked when it came down? Unsure but it came to me like this - I've cleaned it up a ton from when I got it. We can see the old lower bout, control area body crack and repair. Back of the guitar has lots of buckle rash and what looks like a name scrawled in - thanks, Kitty? Kitten? Great opportunity here to own a rock legend.

The neck is straight, truss rod good. Has the copper shielded control cavity  with the 300-S Wal designation and the original Dimarzio pickups - a PAF in the neck and a Super Distortion in the bridge position. Weighs in at 7 pounds.

Priced to go to a new home soon, I guarantee everything I sell to be represented fairly.
