The superb Audio Classique Acrylic Armboard range now includes an Armboard for the Thorens TD126 Mk1 - Mk 3 Transcription Motor Unit.
Please note: the photographs show the TD125 version of this Armboard as I no longer have a TD126. The TD126 Armboard is identical to the TD125 but is 10mm wider.
Made from laser cut 12mm high gloss cast acrylic, this Armboard compliments the finish of both the TD126 Base Plate, Control Panel and Tone Arm perfectly and as can be seen look absolutely stunning.
This Audio Classique product is far superior to the original in all respects. The Armboard matches the height and profile of the original perfectly. If you already have a tone arm fitted to your TD126 the Armboard can be quickly and easily swapped without the need to adjust the suspension. The caste acrylic construction is the ultimate base for SME Tone arms.
The SME Tone arm mounting has been re-engineered and now provides a highly effective but simple integrated mounting arrangement for the SME. Allowing it to be set up perfectly, putting the rubber grommets under perfect compression or to be tightened down firmly if hard mounted (without grommets). This design solution makes the Arm/Armboard assembly far more rigid to the obvious benefit of the audio performance.
