I think this is what is called the Breton Style Cap  

The inside label reads " MADE FOR NAUTICALIA FERRY LANE SHEPPERTON ENGLAND 100% WOOL"

I do not know the hat size.  I measured the inside circumference, and it was 23 1/2".  It might be a size large but I am not 100% sure.

It has one moth hole.  

Not a perfect shaped hat but it is still very nice.

This could be a hat for a fisherman, sailor or ships captain.
