What is there to say?

This was created in my sons Graffiti black book by the legendary stay high, 149, the day I met him. (Don’t ask me what art show or event it was, it was outside a venue, we was all chilling, it was a while ago! lol

He dated his signature & threw in a little funk by writing “can you dig it”? There’s a lot going on in this tag. The arrow pointing to the original SAINT character smoking the reefers!, the date itself 06-17-2000. The “WAYNE-O” with quadruple explosion 💥quotes, the U.G.A. Crew love representing. The joint in the “H” of the word High & the Saint character itself as part of the “Stay High” signature. Also designing the composition in 2 different inks, the red sharpie & the pink high lighter.

There’s a lot going on in this piece!

I’m very sad we didn’t get to collaborate, since I’m in arts education, it was a no brainer to invite him as a guest artist to being in to the kids. He is the voice of the ghetto, so you already know.

This piece has been hanging up on a wall in my apt after I removed it from the blackbook a number of years after he signed it. Since I continue to have writers “get up” in my sons & my graffiti black books when we’re out at art shows & hip hop functions, I wanted to make sure no one “mistakenly” went over his page!
