1964 Valley Forge Encampment Patch - Approx. 3" square design.  Blue rolled-edged border with white twill outer background.   The design features a soldier chopping wood with winter hut in background.  Red lettering reading "Valley Forge" at bottom and "Pilgrimage" and "1964" date at top.  Vintage cloth with gauze backing.  Used condirtion.   Note:  (The Valley Forge Pilgrimage and Encampment is the oldest annual scouting event in the world.  It was first held on February 22, 1913 (George Washington's 181st birthday), and has been held every year since.  The event is hosted by the Cradle of Liberty Council (Valley Forge Council before 1996) and commemorates the soldiers of the Continental Army who braved the winter of 1777-78 at Valley Forge.
