Rare 19th century antique Chinese sterling silver teapot with pumpkin shaped body, squirrel lid finial, vine-wrapped leaf-decorated handle and a leaf-shaped foot base. Features 9 ornamental relief designs (the number 9 being connected to longevity and good fortune). There is one plant design at the very rear and 8 Chinese figures along the sides (perhaps the Eight Immortals?). There is a very small rectangular mark stamped into the bottom of the foot.

This petite teapot is sized for one cup of tea and measures 5.5" tall and 4" long.

Exquisitely delicate, fully intact and in very good vintage condition. Patina consistent with age and antique status of the item. Can be polished by buyer if desired.
