Here's a vintage lidded dresser or trinket box of 1940s or 50s celluloid.  It is decorated on the top, sides, and base with a Chinese theme.  Dragons dance along the lid which is toped with a dimensional phoenix bird. The red rectangular box and lid plastic have a marbled pearl tone finish on the interior and exterior, with a black swirl-embossed platform base.

It measures 8" long and 4" wide.  The lower box portion is 1.5" deep.  The lid fits securely in place for a total height of 4.25".  It weighs 7.2 ounces.

Condition is good with no chips or cracks and only scratches but the lid has white discoloration that appears to be part of the pattern, but is not.  Originally the inside had divider pieces, now gone. Even with these shortcomings it remains a pretty piece of functional art.

There is no backstamp and the Ivoris paper label is missing from the bottom.

Thanks for looking.
