Grades of raw comics are an estimate and have not been established by a professional grader.

My method of grading, to give you further insight to the quality of the comics, are as follows:

9.8: no visual defects (I will never estimate a comic to be 9.8 in case I miss something)

9.6: one minor defect eg. a very small spine tick (less than 2mm) or a very light corner blunt. Probably only noticeable on close inspection. In some cases there may be no noticeable defect, and may grade higher than 9.6.

9.4: multiple small defects, but not more than 3 or 4 or one slightly larger defect

9.2: a larger amount of small defects or a more pronounced tick or corner blunt

In all the above classifications the corners will appear quite sharp and the surface of the comic will be unsoiled and attractive. Also keep in mind that a manufacturing defect such as a small print crease or small miswrap is not considered a defect.  

Anything classified below a 9.2 (NM-) is just a broad generalization to give you a general idea of the condition of the comic. 

As I have tried my best to represent the quality of the comic, there is no guarantee as to how a professional grade would be assigned.
