This series was produced from the 1840s and was a favorite of Napoleon III's wife Eugenie. Among Herend's designs, which are heavily influenced by Persian and Chinese influence, this is one of the few that has Japanese influence. The pattern is said to be a copy of Kakiemon. The blurred colors are unique to Herend.
