The reason for this is, if we drill holes in the brake disc surface we cause a risk of the brake discs cracking from the drill holes. We have countered this feature to cool the brake discs efficiently by benefiting the discs with pillar venting technology. This will help control and keep brake temperatures low efficiently **

Dimpled & Grooved: The key benefits of the dimpled and grooved discs are that brake fade is significantly reduced. the science behind this brake style is the dimples and grooves deglaze the pad and vents gasses that build up between the disc and the pad during braking. The additional slots (vents) dissipate heat more effectively, thus greatly reducing the risk of deformation, vibration of the disc at extreme operating temperatures.


Silver Coating: All Kinetix sports discs are Painted Silver to prevent the discs from corrosion in areas not swept by the brake pad. Optimum brake performance is realised after the zinc coating has been removed from the pad track area, which can take up to 100 miles. It is normal that a small amount of noise is exhibited from Kinetix slotted rotors when they are first applied.
