An interesting and attractive, original, antique, double-sided strip road map from a 1724 edition of John Owen & Emanuel Bowen's 'Britannia Depicta or Ogilby Improv'd'.

The sheet of hand-laid paper which is printed on both sides measures approximately 130mm x 193mm. The copper-engraved strip maps (with accompanying information about the locations along the route and embellishments such as coats of arms) are pages 225 & 226 of 'Britannia Depicta' and have significant detail of topography and place names with the main locations along the route as follows:

Page 225 - Presteigne, New Radnor
Page 226 - Llandovery, Carmarthen

Condition report: Very good condition; no tears or repairs. Light age toning; slightly uneven edge to the sheet where it has previously been removed from the original publication (not affecting the printed area). Old ink stain to the top border of page 226 (likely from the printing process). Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
