I have for sale three bound volumes of Samuel Atkinson's The Casket which was a periodical from the first half of the 1800s.  Included are the bound years of 1828, 1829, and 1832.  These were published by Samuel C Atkinson.  There's also the name S. M. Eldred on the spine.

All 3 are in very similar condition.  Almost all the pages are intact and readable with no major rips.  The only ripped & missing pages are the very last page (a blank page) in 1828, the last two blank pages of 1829, and the first blank page of 1832.  Other than those, I can't find any pages with significant damage.

Covers show noticeable shelf wear and blunted corners, but all covers are held tightly by the binding and none of the covers have separated from the rest of the book.  Spines are in great shape.  All pages are tight to the binding.  There's noticeable age-related discoloration throughout all 3 volumes but it doesn't detract from the readability of the articles.  Great illustrations of 1820s and 1830s life in America in these, some of which are colorized!

I'm listing these as a set of 3 since it's exceedingly rare for a buyer to have a chance to get three at the same time.  If you're interested in just one volume, please send a message!
