  • A long pin made of high grade silver, known as tupu, a Quechua term for pin (alfiler in Spanish)
  • Coming from the the time of the Incas, the tupu was used by the Andean women to fasten textile garments
  • The long stem ends with a beautifully elaborated flat head featuring a stylized vase or other essel with a lavish floral arrangement around
  • Exquisite and rich detail
  • Circa early 19th century, Spanish Colonial times, Peru

  • Measurements: Approximately 13.75" long x 4.25" diameter of the head
  • It weighs 3.75 oz. = 106 gr.
