An original antique, copper-plate engraved map of Germany by the renowned cartographer Emanuel Bowen. It was published in London in 'A Complete System of Geography ...' in 1747.

The main map is fully titled 'A New & Accurate map of Germany, Divided into its Circles. Drawn from the most approved Maps etc and regulated by  Astronoml Observations'. It has significant detail of place names and includes a decorative title cartouche and a compass rose.

The printed area measures approximately 222mm x 315mm with margins beyond, blank verso. 

Condition report: Excellent condition. Slight creasing & old binding holes to the left edge of the sheet where it was bound into the source publication, not affecting the printed area. Faint staining to the top and bottom margins, well away from the printed area. Please study the photographs carefully to fully appreciate the condition.
