Antique 19th/20th C. Chocolate Candy Cookie Mold Deeply Carved Wood w. 6 Round Patterns


  • For your consideration is a very interesting antique mold
  • Finely carved thick hardwood, all done by hand
  • Rectangular shape with six different round patterns: a fruit basket, a cornucopia horn, a rabbit, a duck, a bird, and a fruit; altogether inferring prosperity and good luck
  • Most likely used for the traditional Speculaas / Speculatius spicy cookies
  • Circa late 19th/early 20th century. Possibly Dutch or German, found in New England
  • A newer hook attached for display
  • All original

  • Measurements: Approx. 7" x 4 5/8" x 5/8"
  • Weighs about 8 oz.

  • Condition: Very Good overall. Warm old wood patina developed over time. Unobtrusive stable and short hairline, due to natural split of to the wood. Please see photos. All original
