Antique 1750's Rococo Wood & Stoneware Mold - Vase with Flowers


  • For your consideration is a very interesting and UNUSUAL antique mold
  • Finely carved ceramic or stoneware material, mounted on a thick and solid hard wood (possibly ok) base
  • Rectangular shape with portrait orientation and featuring a Rococo taste vase/urn with flowers
  • We are not sure whether it was used for candies or pastries or for molded decorations on furniture, walls or else
  • Number 10 is written with black paint on both sides
  • RARE and UNIQUE
  • Circa mid 18th century. Possibly French. Found in New England
  • All original

  • Measurements: Approx. 11.5" x 5.5" x 1.25"
  • Weighs about 2 lbs. 12 oz.

  • Condition: Very Good overall. Warm old wood patina developed over time. Minor craquelures to the ceramic part, but still solid, no missing particles. Please see photos. All original
