  • In the shape of a kashkul aka beggar's bowl, the main body flanked on both sides by stylized snakes holding hoops in their mouths
  • This particular masterpiece was made in the late 19th / early 20th century, and is related to one of the most prominent figures of the modern world history - Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India, serving in office from 1947 until his death in 1964
  • This was one of the gifts carried by Mr. Nehru during his officials visit to The Netherlands between 8-10 of July 1957, presented to Dutch officials, whom he met with
  • The dates are engraved on the front shield, and the name of Jawaharlal Nehru - on the bottom edge
  • All original
