Antique 19th C. Cast Bronze Heater or Ventilation Grill Open Work Vent Cover, Ornate
- For your consideration is a very intricate antique vent grill
- Made of cast bronze, very ornate and finely elaborated open work
- A grill or lattice cover for a heather or ventilation vent
- Similar pieces were usually made from cast iron; the bronze ones are scarce
- This one was obviously from a very wealthy household
- There is a circle in the middle which was designed to open and close
- Marked on the underside UC 913-1
- Circa 1800's, American, found in Rhode Island
- All original
- Measurements: Approx. 13" x 8.75" x 0.5"
- Weighs about 5 lbs. 4 oz.
- Condition: Very Good overall. Please see photos. Normal wear commensurate with age.
