- Here is a beautiful and unusual Islamic item
- A silver spoon with long twisted handle topped with moon and star over a crown
- It was made using an antique Turkish silver coin with sultan's tughra on both sides
- An interesting Ottoman artifact dating back to the late 1800's/early 1900's
- Marked 800 on the handle
- The long handle suggest that it was used for stirring a drink in tall glass, such as sherbet
- All original, Ottoman Turkey. Late 19th/early 20th century
- Measurements: Approx. 11" (27cm) long, the coin diameter is 1 3/8" (34mm)
- Weighs 1 7/8 oz= 56 gr
