Early 19th century matched pair of hand carved angel

A matched pair of late 18th early 19th
Century hand carved angel winged figures. Polychrome painted over gesso and
constructed of fine wooden carved detailed sections. The wings are carved
separately but firmly in place. These figures would likely have stood in a
religious setting of sorts at some point but now would look fabulous in a glamourous
hallway entrance or any elegant interior space.

These religious artifacts show natural wear and aging through obvious use over
the years. They are close to 200 years old, and their condition reflect this. Missing
carved sections including the fingers, one bottom wing tip, the bases are aged
and missing gesso and painted surface area. One section of the wings on the
figure has been supported by screws as the other is attached with wooden plugs however
both wings are also firmly in place. As shown and stated these items are very
old, they are solid and firmly in place. We would strongly recommend that you
