Lovely unique antique item, first I have seen, in very good working condition. opens and closes very well.

Closed 7cm (2. 3/4”)

Condition antique item in excellent condition no chips found to the mother of Pearl, if there are any they are to minor fir my naked eyes.

In those day travellers in the U.K. often took their own eating utensils, due to the unhygienic and unpleasant other metals used for eating, silver was and still is always preferred.
