Here is what I believe to be an old Wm Doyle cast iron fire blower. Purchase at an auto jumble years ago, rusted solid with worn out axles. I purchased it from an old Irish gent who said that it had come from Ireland and to make sure I restored it. He mentioned it was used in order to help start a fire & create a draft. That's all I know. Don't know if these were used indoors or out. I don't think this would be any good for a forge, if you restrict the air flowing out, there is no pressure, and the air is lost out the centre hole, but puffs out a fair amount of air when the crank is turned, see video.
Years ago I replaced the top and bottom axles and handle, and made up a wooden stand. The wooden stand needs replacing, as its started to rot. When I originally dismantled it there was a tiny fleck of green paint on the inside, so matched the colour as close as I could, not sure if this would have been the original colour or not. Its been out in the garden for years and there is now surface rust, rust scale and pitting, so could be repainted or left. Its previously lasted all these years in bare cast iron, don't know how old it is.

Used as a garden ornament, but now having to clear the decks.
