Quick And The Dead are a unique band. Three brothers and a sister from a traditional conservative Christian background who have survived 10 years surfing the Australian secular rock scene. With 1500 shows under their belt; playing support for Dire Straits, Hothouse Flowers et al and attracting management from Midnight Oil's Gary Morris.
Quick And The Dead are a surprise find. Meaty songs hitting meaty issues with a message for the churched and unchurched world. Not overtly Christian lyrically but blunt and decisively positive. Most obvious track for Christian radio is the manic, harp driven "Jesus Was A Jew". A passionate attack on the distorted "Christian" views of KKK's, white supremists and racists. "So if you say you love him but hate anyone not like you/I hope you are aware my friend/that Jesus was a Jew...He was a big nosed, unemployed, nigger-loving Jewboy/Who died for me and you." Well worth checking out.
