The design of each creature is formed in three-dimensional relief into the centre of each crystal. The extraordinary talents of the accomplished sculptor, Alfredo Manno, bring life-like reality to each subject. Fine details are then added to both the front and back surfaces to portray the animal in its native habitat. The outer rim is gracefully faceted, much in the manner of a precious jewel. This faceting is usually encountered in only the most expensive crystal art. Finally, the entire surface is hand-polished until it sparkles.
