This is an original press photo. B-29 fire control system revealed - New York - For the first time, the central gunnery control system of the B-29 Superfortress was exhibited today at the Waldorf-Astoria, during the 49th annual convention of the National Association of Manufacturers. The system, which enables one gunner to fire from all parts of the plane where gun emplacements are located, by merely keeping the enemy plane in his sights and pulling the trigger. Electronic and mechanical units of the system do the rest. Here Army Air Force officers and Boeing Executives look over the central fire control system. Left to right: Maj. Gen. Oliver P.
