Condition GOOD: some movement in the spine but the binding of the text block remains firmly secure; publisher's original decorative blind-stamped cloth hardback binding is faded at the spine and edges; cloth splitting at the head & heel of the spine; corners bumped; inside hinges cracked; small tears and marks to publisher's catalogue which has been bound in as front & rear endpapers; one page of the catalogue has been pasted over the half-title page, on which is a gift inscription - the inscription is legible if held up to a light; general age toning of pages; occasional slight foxing and water staining scattered through the text.
