Antique Japanese Shakudo letter opener/page turner made from brass mixed metals.  Late Meiji period in date (1868 -1912) I have been told. The heavy handle is ornately decorated with 3 dimensional kabuki theater masks which are repeated on both sides. The blade depicts flowers on both sides.
