Description: A large, finely engraved, detailed map of South Australia, with an inset map of the Cape York Peninsula and the Torres Strait. Railway lines and undersea telegraph cables are marked. The hydrography is printed in blue ink with further original outline colour added by hand.

Cartographer / Engraver: A.K. Johnston, with additions & corrections by T.B. Johnston.

Provenance: 'Royal Atlas of Modern Geography exhibiting in a series of entirely original and authentic maps, the present condition of geographical discovery and research in the several Countries, Empires, and States of the World', W. & A.K. Johnston, Edinburgh and London, 1886.
