This is for an original Victorian wooden tobacco box advertising Cope's Bond of Union, medium strength. The lid inside and out is marked as such with the initials CB in each corner and a handshake on the top. The side of the box has the original Cope Brothers & Co Ltd sealing label stating the factory was in Liverpool and the metal hinges are both marked 'Cope'. It is in very good condition and it measures 112mm (4.3") by 95mm (3.75") and stands 60mm (2.5") tall.
