This is for a lovely antique retractable lanyard brooch for reading glasses, pince nez, monocles...etc, its essentially a chain and clip that you wear on your collar from the early 1900s. It is Gunmetal with a flower pattern on the front, the gold chain inside is sprung, it pulls out and locks, pull it back again slowly and its sprung to retract back in. It is clearly marked on the back Ketcham & McDougal of New York along with patent dates Feb 24 1903 and April 26 1910. It is in absolute excellent condition with no damage, no wear and it is fully working. It measures 25mm (1") in diameter.
