I do not know the history on the bonnet/cap , but...

from what I have researched ...this is a antique Czech

MORAVIAN KROJ Folk costume cap/bonnet.

I'm not sure what the base is ....maybe silk?

The long  sashes are (38" Long) have faded in spots.

The ends are accented with metallic thread.

The cap is AMAZING ....totally encrusted with 

metallic thread , beads and sequins.

The back of bonnet is adorned with delicate  net lace.

The bonnet has elegant bobbin lace surrounding the face.

The bonnet measures from ear across top to ear : 17"

From back of lace to forehead : 13"

Included in the auction ....I'm adding the millinery head form.

The form is 11" tall .
