During WW2 the Germans used everything possible to break up their profile in combat. In the 1940's car and truck tires used rubber inner tubes that were made from red or black rubber. The German soldiers would cut these inner tubes into bands to attach to their helmets. This auction is for (1) Black rubber band of this type, cut by hand as was done during the period. These are well used and show dirt and age. They have been used and they show it, some more than others. These will fit right in with your original used helmet. The last picture shows an original wartime band of this type, just for historical reference. The pictures are representative of the band you will get.
