Hofner Senator natural made in Germany and dating from 1960, the year that Hofner brought out the first truss rods in their guitars and also this Senator has a ''toaster'' pickup and these were used only during 1960 and 1961.

The fretboard contains 22 frets with triple dot markers but these only go as far as fret 12. The single pickup is controlled by the rectangular control panel which has a volume control with treble on/off, bass on/off and rhythm/solo switches. The bridge is the original wooden model and the trapeze tailpiece is as far as I know Hofner but they used many types .

It is a very nice guitar and plays well - rare.
