An Original 1908 Billiken Brass Car Mascot Made in Germany.

The charm doll Billiken was created by American art teacher and illustrator Florence Pretz, Kansas City, Missouri.
Billiken is known as "The God of Things As They Ought To Be"
In 1908 Florence Pretz sold the design patent to Billiken Company Chicago.

You can find many more information on the Wikipedia Billiken page.

The brass figurine is marked;

I believe the body is hollow and the head is full.
I have left the item as found and is in good condition with aged patina, light scratches and marks here and there, all consistent with age and use.
