ORIGINAL HAND ILLUMINATED MANUSCRIPT
With lines based on text from
William Shakespeare’s King Henry VI, Part II
1902
Signed and dated 1902, this is a nice mounted old
hand illuminated piece with lines based on Shakespeare, all hand painted and
highlighted in gold, in a mount measuring 11.5 inches by 9.75 inches, the
artwork measures 8 inches by 7 inches approx.
CONDITION
The artwork is stuck to the mount at top of its
plain borders, I have unstuck the bottom fixing to see the full inscription in
the lower left corner, this has left unavoidable surface wear to the plain border (see pictures
) the gold coloured mount is noticeably marked and would benefit from
replacing, else a nice piece that would make an interesting feature framed
