circa late 1860s/early 1870s carte-de-visite portrait of an unidentified chaplain soldier in a standing pose ~ his kepi rests on the table - and bears a cross surrounded by olive boughs (?) - the cross has equal-sized "arms" and is NOT shaped like a "crucifixion" cross (please see gallery photo #2); his scabbard is attached to his belt
