Vintage Chinese Brass Small Lidded Pot H7.5cm  x 6cm Dragon & Phoenix

I am pretty sure this is brass, the interior is spotless and seems to of been never used. I have supplied lots of photos, no maker's marks but obvious Chinese with dragon and phoenix and the chop mark. The lid is very tight fitting it has had a slight knock, possibly seen in the photos. I would appreciate any information on what this may of been used for, thank you. Please view all the photos as they are the best description, thank you.
