Even the USA-only 560 SL did not have as much power, thanks to smog gear strangling the engine.This one was sold new in South Africa, and remained in that country until 2020, meaning it has spent almost all its life in a climate with little rain and no salt on the roads. The current owner - only the third - has unfortunately not found any time to use the car recently, and we have not had the car running. But the owner drove it here to Bonhams in Oxfordshire and reports that it drives without issues.This lot is available for viewing/inspection.
