YOU ARE PURCHASING THE GOTEK FLOPPY DISK EMULATOR WITH THE HxC FIRMWARE INSTALLED TO MAKE IT COMPATIBLE YOUR SAMPLER.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THAT NO USB THUMB DRIVE, FLOPPY DISKETTES OR CD-ROM DISCS ARE INCLUDED WITH YOUR PURCHASE. I CAN SHARE ACCESS TO MY SAMPLE LIBRARY COLLECTION FOR YOUR SAMPLER IF YOU ARE INTERESTED BUT NO PHYSICAL MEDIA WILL BE SHIPPED TO YOU.

You are purchasing ONE brand new Gotek Floppy Drive Emulator.

This emulator has been flashed with the HxC firmware, configured and tested to work with the S-900, S-950, S-1000 and S-1100 right out of the box.

It has also been reported by some of our customers that this drive and library is also compatible with the MPC-3000

NEW: Now retrofitted with OLED DISPLAY, so you can navigate  the files by name. Some of the benefits of the added functionality on this unit in comparison to the generic ones:

 

• Full compatibility with the AKAI S-900, S-950 and S-1000 samplers*.

• Hot swappable, no need to reboot the sampler when removing the USB thumb drive for editing or adding new images.

• Use the up and down button to load disk images on the fly.

• Sampler can load OS updates from the drive emulator.

• Drive is now compatible with images from the 720 KB (DD) floppies (S-900) as well as 1.44 MB disks (S-950/S-1000)

 

*Drive emulator might be also compatible with other samplers from the AKAI family but untested at this moment.

*You will need an S-950 with 1.44MB RAM to be able to load these disk images as a whole bank. Otherwise, individual preset loading is recommended.
Disk images with a * are not compatible with the S-900.

 

SAMPLER NOT INCLUDED, FOR ILLUSTRATION PURPOSES ONLY.

PLEASE DON'T FORGET TO LET US KNOW THE SAMPLER MODEL YOU WILL BE INSTALLING THIS UNIT ON AT CHECKOUT.

Make sure you have the necessary tools and skills to be able to open your sampler and install this floppy drive emulator.

Seller assumes no responsibility for compatibility if you own a sampler other than the ones listed above or if your sampler is missing parts or mounting brackets.

You will also need access to a computer PC/MAC so you can download the content and transfer into a pen drive. Instructions and videos included as well.
