A rare and extremely attractive nautical map of the SOUTH COAST of UNITED STATES, issued in 1878, by the British Admiralty.

This chart shows details of the DELTA of the MISSISSIPPI.

Features both nautical and inland detail noting both topographical features and thousands of depth soundings (in fathoms). Important ports, Island and navigational points are carefully noted.

Admiralty Chart No. 1638.

Originally published by the British Admiralty in 1876.

This 1917 edition,

has printed correction to 1928.

Note - The orange/red markings on the chart indicate the location of navigational aids, such as lighthouses, beacons, markers, Etc. They have been updated, added / altered on a chart by means of Small Corrections.
